Coach LaToya

Lead Choreographer

LaToya was a Member of The Knicks City Dancers for 6 years, and Captain for her final 3. She has had the privilege of dancing at Madison Square Garden during the home games for the Knicks as well as take part in various promotional work throughout the Tri-state area, including back up dancing for Jason DeRulo. LaToya has been selected multiple times to dance at the NBA All-Star basketball games, held in LA, Orlando, and China. During these trips she has performed with Rihanna, LennyKravitz, Flo Rida, Pitbull and Neyo. She has been dancing for more than 20 years. She has studied tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, hip hop, flamenco, contemporary and lyrical dancing. She has attended numerous dance competitions and conventions in Syracuse, Boston, and Niagara Falls and has competed in group, duet and solo performances earning several platinum ribbons and trophies. She is an alumni of Starpower Dance Competition, and a Power Pak performer who danced at Walt Disney World. She is a graduate from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY with a Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Communications and a Minor in Dance and Theatre. She became a member of the college dance team called DANCE TROUPE and later went on to become co-captain and choreographer of the team. She is currently coach of the Knicks City Kids, and Shooting Stars Dance Development Director.
