"Shooting Stars was one of the most incredible programs that allowed me to figure out who I was as a singer, dancer, and performer. Kristin, and all the coaches were women I looked up to throughout my years with the company. This dance team was my second family growing up and each of the girls supported each other with kindness and love. Every day after school, I looked forward to going to dance practice to work hard and have fun. It was a way to let out whatever was going on at home or at school. Not only did I learn the coolest choreography but discovered incredible songs that Kristin would cut and splice together herself into one track. The music she would choose inspired us and made us want to put our all into dancing. I competed and won big with SSDC in more ways than one!"

If not for SSDC, I never would have had the long dream of becoming a member of Duke's Official Dance Team - The Dancing Devils, where I get to perform at every football and basketball game. I miss SSDC so much, and I am so incredibly grateful for everything they taught me."
